• Account information: name and email address from your Google or GitHub account when you sign in.
• Resume files: the PDF documents you upload to our service.
• Usage analytics: page views, unique visitors, and referrer URLs for your public resume links. Analytics are privacy-friendly with no cookies and no personal data collected. This data is aggregated and does not identify the people viewing your resumes.
• Feedback submissions: any bug reports, feedback, or feature requests you submit through our feedback tool, including optional screenshots.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services, including hosting your resumes at vanity URLs.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Show you analytics about how your resumes are being viewed.
• Respond to your feedback and improve the product.
• Monitor and fix errors in our service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies and Authentication

We use a secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie contains an authentication token and is required for the service to function. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your resumes are stored in private cloud storage and are never directly exposed to the public internet. Access is granted through short-lived signed URLs that expire quickly. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate resumeGo:

• Google & GitHub OAuth: for authentication. Their respective privacy policies apply to the data they process.
• DigitalOcean Spaces (S3-compatible): for secure resume file storage. Files are not publicly accessible and are served through short-lived signed URLs.
• Vercel Analytics: for privacy-friendly usage analytics. No cookies are used, no personal data is collected, and all data is aggregated.
• Sentry: for error monitoring and service reliability. Sentry may receive anonymized error data.

6. Public Sharing

By uploading a resume and creating a vanity URL, you understand that anyone with the link can view your document. You have full control over your URLs and can delete them at any time through your dashboard.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your account information, all uploaded resumes, and associated analytics data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the date at the top.
